
Shaun Perkins is the director/founder of the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry in Locust Grove. She is a poet, storyteller, newspaper columnist, and teaching artist with the Oklahoma Arts Council. She has published a variety of books, and her work has appeared in numerous journals, magazines, and newspapers. For many years, she has been a Woody Guthrie Poet at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. Her poetry has won numerous awards, including the San Francisco Writers Conference Award, which she won two times.
